LIFE THROUGH A WINDOW

As He Gazes at His Watch, the Bus is running late,

As He Gazes at His Watch,

The Bus is Running Late,

He Wants to Get to Work on Time,

So Decides that He Can’t Wait.

Children Texting on Their Phones,

While Walking with Their Friends,

Heading Off to Their School,

For a Day of Lessons.

Dropping Rubbish and Kicking it About,

As They Pass a Bin While They Continue to Shout.

Finally….The Bus has Arrived its Ten Minutes Late,

The Man Who Decided He Didn’t Want to Wait,

Carry’s on Walking and Gives His Head a Shake.

What Must He Be Thinking as He Slowly Disappears,

It’s a Good Job It’s Not Raining as He Hasn’t Any Gear.

But then The Sky Opens Up and The Rain Starts to Appear.

With The Clouds now Heading His Way,

This Poor Man Wished He Stayed at Home,

Realising It’s Not His Day.

Joggers are Running as If They’ve Escaped,

Smokers Inhaling on Scented Vapes.

Kids are Doing it to have Their Fix,

A New Generation Wanting to Grow Up Quick.

A Cat Relaxing just Sat on The Wall,

Life is Good as it Acts so Cool.

A Dog Walks Passed Wondering What to Do,

It Stops and Sniffs…Then has a Number Two.

I Hope that The Owner will Pick it Up,

Some Just Leave It Because They Don’t Give A F#!@%.

Lovers Walking Hand in Hand,

Mothers are Pushing Their Baby Prams.

A Man Goes by and He’s just Slipped Up,

He has now put His Foot in that Doggy Muck.

Embarrassed to Look to what He has Done,

As He Looks for some Grass to Wipe it On.

Distant Drums get ever Near,

Like a Heart that’s Beating Faster.

A Car Speeds Passed Music Full Blast,

Speakers are Vibrating,

Not Bothered to what is on The Road,

Or How They Are Driving.

A Zebra Crossing gets ever Near,

People Stood There for The Car to Change Gear.

Will The Brake Lights Ever Come On,

Lets Hope it STOPS!!! Before Things Go Wrong.

As I Look Up There is a Figure I See,

Gazing Down at The Ground and Staring at Me.

Feeling Embarrassed Not Knowing what to Do,

Now I Have Finally Got Rid of That Doggy Poo.

This is a Poem but it’s Not what You Think,

Even Though Some Words, Have Kicked Up a Quite Stink,

It is About this Dark Figure which You thought was Me,

Watching Life Through A Window,

So Who Can It Be?
